We got some questions from coaches and federations about the age of participation at the ECh U18.

Let’s be clear, only athletes born in 2002 and older are allowed to participate in Fighting and Newaza. We will NOT accept younger athletes in these 2 categories. Hereby the outlines taken of the official invitation page 8, last paragraph:

Competitors that will reach the proper age in the present year (from 1.1 to 12.31) have the right of participation in the designated category (valid for fighting, duo and ne-waza systems).
Ju-jitsuka in class Aspirants 15/16/17 (year of birth 2000/2001/2002)
Ju-jitsuka in class Juniors 18/19/20 (year of birth 1997/1998/1999)
Athletes born in 2003 can participate in the tournament, if they are part of a Duo team registered for the U18 age category.

So only in DUO we can accept athletes of 2003 and older. Be aware for disappointments and send away of your athlete.
